A Coal Washery Operator runs machinery (crushers, screens, pumps, etc.) to clean raw coal by removing impurities (ash, rock) using water and specific gravity separation (cones), adjusts settings via control panels (PLC), monitors gauges, performs quality tests (ash content, weighing), mixes materials like sand/water, and conducts basic maintenance/repairs to produce quality coal for sale, adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

- Machine Operation: Operate and monitor automated equipment like crushers, screens, conveyors, wash boxes, pumps, and refuse gates.
- Process Control: Adjust settings for pulsation, air, water, and coal flow from control panels (PLCs) to achieve desired separation.
- Quality Assurance: Test processed coal samples for ash content and weight, ensuring it meets specifications, and make adjustments as needed.
- Material Preparation:



Mix sand and water in proper proportions for the separation process (specific gravity).
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, identify and resolve operational issues, and conduct minor repairs.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols and procedures within the plant.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of operations and quality checks.
