Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, in office role based in West Bengal, India, responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment across Avant Group’s projects and facilities. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, and monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies. The role involves investigating accidents and near-miss incidents, preparing reports, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.



The Safety Officer will deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors, maintain safety documentation and records, and collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and external agencies to continuously improve safety standards.
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and Occupational Health practices relevant to construction and real estate environments.
Experience in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root-cause analysis to support corrective and preventive actions.
Skills in Security coordination and site safety oversight to ensure controlled and compliant project environments.
Ability to design and deliver Safety Training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for diverse teams.
Relevant safety certifications or diplomas (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent local qualifications) are highly beneficial.
Experience in real estate, construction, or infrastructure projects, with familiarity in risk
