· To assist the Nursing Supervisor for ensuring operational excellence by training and developing the Staff.
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities and key tasks
· To effectively interface with patients/ Anesthetist/ Surgeons/ other service
· users with high level of responsiveness.
· To be well versed with different surgical procedures, equipment used
· & Pre-Post operative management of patients in nursing department
· Stock Management:
· To ensure proper Co-Ordination with other disciplines in case of shifting,
· transfer to all wards.
· Ensure noise and movements within the theatre is kept with minimum.
· To ensure the fumigation carbolization process.
· To ensure the consumables & sutures are available on time.
· Co-operate & co-ordinate with staff to ensure effective efficient patient
· care delivery.
· To ensure timely indenting and proper stock management.
· To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices
· To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
· To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the
· hospital.
· To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues &
· policies of the respective area
· To Comply with patient safety policy
- To ensure protected utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system
Education/Experience
· GNM/B.Sc(Nursing)
IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Errors in monitoring of sterile things =0%
- Documentation error < 2%
- Stock handling errors (non return of expiry items on time) = 0%
- Conformance to NABH/IMS TATs as per standards laid down.
- Equipment down time should not be more than 2% of total time.
- Training Compliance 90% with planned mandays.

Experience
- Minimum 8 years of post qualification experience in O.T.
