Senior Network Engineer – Enterprise Infrastructure

Location: Pune

Work Mode: WFO

Notice Period: Immediate / 15 Days / 1 Month (Negotiable)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our enterprise infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network environments across routing, switching, wireless, and security domains. This role demands a deep understanding of enterprise-grade networking technologies and operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Routing & Network Design

- Expertise in routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Static & Default Routing
- Strong troubleshooting skills in energetic and static routing environments
- Basic understanding of network design principles
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Extreme Networks devices
- Exposure to SD-WAN technologies (FortiGate preferred)

Switching

- Proficient in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching concepts:
- VLAN Tagging, EtherChannel, VTP, VPC
- HSRP/VRRP, BPDU, Root Bridge Election

- Experience with Cisco and Extreme switches
- Strong troubleshooting and configuration skills

Wireless Technologies

- In-depth knowledge of enterprise wireless solutions:
- OEMs: Aruba (preferred), Cisco, Ruckus
- SSID configuration, VLAN integration, AP firmware upgrades
- Wireless bands, NAC, and switch-level integration

- Experience with wireless authentication, authorization,



and access point deployment

Security (Basic)

- Understanding of firewall technologies: FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ACS
- Concepts: Firewall placement, NATing, IPSEC, WAF basics, Proxy flow
- Basic knowledge of NAC and firewall switchover scenarios

Operational & Project Experience

- Planning and executing hardware replacements (Routers, Switches, APs)
- Familiarity with three-tier architecture
- Experience with SLA management and Change Management processes
- Exposure to enterprise-scale networks is a strong advantage

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 8–10 years of relevant experience in enterprise networking
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Extreme Networks
- SD-WAN exposure (FortiGate preferred)
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Aruba Certified) are a plus

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Fortinet NSE 4/5
- Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
- Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
