Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Full time Apple Garden Manager to oversee and manage our expansive apple orchards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of apple cultivation, orchard management, and sustainable farming practices. This role requires a combination of hands-on gardening expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

- Orchard Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our apple orchards, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and harvesting.
- Crop Planning: Develop and implement annual crop plans, considering factors such as apple varieties, market demand, and environmental conditions.
- Pest and Disease Management: Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to protect apple trees from pests and diseases while minimizing environmental impact.
- Irrigation Management: Design and maintain efficient irrigation systems to ensure optimal water usage and tree health.
- Soil Health: Monitor and maintain soil health through proper fertilization, cover cropping, and other sustainable practices.
- Harvest Coordination:



Plan and oversee the apple harvesting process, ensuring timely and efficient collection of fruit at peak ripeness.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that our apples meet the highest standards of quality and flavor.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise orchard workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of orchard equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the orchard budget, tracking expenses and identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact and enhance long-term orchard health.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, food safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on orchard performance, crop yields, and other key metrics for management review.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest apple cultivation techniques, technologies, and industry trends, implementing improvements as appropriate.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and processing, to align orchard operations with overall business goals.
