Technical Writer – Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) Author

Role Overview:

We are looking for a CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) Author with 3 to 8 years of experience in aerospace technical publications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authoring standards, ability to interpret engineering data, and hands-on experience in preparing and updating CMM documents.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, review, and update Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) as per customer and industry standards.

· Interpret engineering drawings, service bulletins, and design data for creating accurate maintenance procedures.

· Ensure compliance with international standards such as ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D where applicable.

· Work closely with engineering, quality, and customer teams to resolve technical queries.





· Perform quality checks and peer reviews to maintain high documentation standards.

· Update existing manuals based on engineering changes, modifications, and customer feedback.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

· 3–8 years of experience in aerospace technical publications with focus on CMM authoring.

· Valuable understanding of ATA 100, iSpec 2200 and S1000D standards.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and technical data.

· Proficiency in authoring tools such as Arbortext Editor/FrameMaker, or SGML/XML-based tools.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

· Linguistic Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in English with professional-level proficiency in French.
