Technical Manager

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Manager with deep expertise in the AWS IoT Core ecosystem, Python or Node.js, and containerized cloud-native architectures. You will lead engineering teams, drive architectural decisions, manage projects end-to-end, and ensure successful delivery of scalable backend systems built exclusively on AWS using tools like CDK, Terraform, Boto3, and aws-sdk.

The role also requires robust project management and Agile/Scrum leadership to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead backend engineering teams using Python and Node.js, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Architect and deploy AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK, Terraform, and Cloud Formation.

- Design and manage containerized solutions using Docker, ECS, EKS, or similar orchestration platforms.

- Build and automate backend services using Boto3 (Python AWS SDK) and aws-sdk (Node.js AWS SDK).

- Manage AWS IoT Core integrations, including Just-In-Time Provisioning (JITP) and OTA/FOTA workflows.

- Drive infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability using AWS-native tooling.

- Review code, mentor team members, and enforce engineering best practices.

- Ensure system reliability, performance, and cost optimization within AWS environments.

- Own end-to-end project planning, sprint management,



and cross-functional coordination.

- Act as Scrum Lead/Scrum Manager to run sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Identify risks, manage delivery timelines, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

- Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and execution dashboards.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 10+ years of backend experience with Python and Node.js in production environments.

- Strong experience working exclusively with AWS for building and managing cloud infrastructure.

- Hands-on expertise with AWS SDKs: Boto3 for Python and aws-sdk for Node.js.

- Proven experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

- Deep understanding of AWS services like IAM, IoT Core, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.

- Skilled in Docker and containerized deployments, with experience managing containerized applications at scale.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

- Experience in managing teams, leading projects, and driving Agile/Scrum processes.

- Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills.

- Experience handling containerized workloads in production (ECS, EKS, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes).
