We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Full Stack Web Development Teaching Fellow. This role involves providing hands-on support to students, assisting the tutor in delivering lessons, and actively contributing to the development of course materials and curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack web development, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student success.

Responsibilities

- Student Support: Assist students in understanding web development concepts, troubleshooting coding issues, and providing guidance on project implementation.

- Assistant to Tutor: Collaborate with the tutor to facilitate classroom activities, including organising workshops, code reviews, and group discussions, and providing assistance during lectures and demonstrations.

- Content Creation: Develop instructional materials, including code examples, tutorials, assignments, and projects, to reinforce learning objectives and engage students effectively.

- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement and expansion of the full stack web development curriculum, incorporating industry best practices, emerging technologies, and student feedback.

- Mentorship: Provide mentorship and support to students as they work on individual and group projects, offering technical guidance, code reviews, and constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.

- Classroom Management: Assist in managing classroom logistics, including setting up technical equipment, monitoring attendance,



and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning workplace for all students.

- Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student assignments, projects, and assessments, providing detailed feedback and constructive criticism to help students improve their skills and understanding of web development principles.

- Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, new tools, and technologies in full stack web development, continuously enhancing your own skills and knowledge to support students better and contribute to curriculum development.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proficiency in full stack web development technologies, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, React, and databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL).

- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, or mentor in a web development-related role is preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

- Demonstrated ability to create educational materials and resources, such as code samples, tutorials, and project specifications.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.

- Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to help students succeed in their learning journey.

- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in full stack web development.
