A Transportation Services Supervisor oversees daily operations, managing drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective deliveries. Key duties include optimizing routes, maintaining fleet compliance (DOT regulations), handling logistics data, and training staff. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in logistics software. Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor drivers and dispatchers to ensure adherence to company policies and performance standards.
- Operations Management: Plan routes, adjust schedules, and coordinate daily dispatch to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Customer Service:



Address and resolve customer inquiries or delivery issues promptly.

Qualifications

- Experience: Proven experience in transportation supervision, logistics, or a similar role.
- Education: High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
- Licensing: Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or VTT certificate is often required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of DOT regulations, proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), and excellent leadership skills.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace and occasionally lift, bend, or stand for extended periods.
