- Provide expert guidance to students and families on all aspects of studying abroad, including admissions requirements, program options, and financial aid opportunities.
- Evaluate students’ academic qualifications and help them select appropriate courses and programs.
- Assist students in the application process, including reviewing applications, preparing students for interviews, and advising on visa and immigration requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions and program providers, both domestically and abroad.
- Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of study abroad programs, scholarships, and funding opportunities.
- Provide support and advice to students on cultural and academic differences between their home country and the country they will be studying in.
- Coordinate and facilitate pre-departure orientation programs for students.
- Monitor and track students’ progress throughout the study abroad experience, providing support as needed.
- Collaborate with the OJAS Immigration team to develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies to attract students to study abroad programs.
- Develop and maintain a network of partners and contacts in the international education community to promote the program and build partnerships.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on trends and issues in international education and study abroad.
- Maintain accurate records and data, producing reports and analysis to inform decision-making and program planning.
Requirements
- An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with 2-3 years of entry-level experience.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with young adults effectively.
- Must be willing to travel and work extended hours during critical admissions seasons.
- Highly organized with robust time management skills and a professional demeanor.
