Material planning: Prepare specifications for materials and products

Store operations: Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs

Delivery challan: Make arrangements for incoming shipments

Other responsibilities of a storekeeper may include:

Inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies

Rotating stock and coordinating the disposal of surpluses

Ensuring hazardous materials are stored safely

Maintaining petty cash funds

Answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing information

Preparing routine correspondence regarding back orders or other shipping and supply problems
