A Store Incharge oversees the daily operations of a facility's inventory or retail location. They manage incoming and outgoing stock, ensure accurate record-keeping, supervise staff, and maintain safety standards to prevent losses and ensure the smooth flow of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Track stock levels, conduct physical audits, and reconcile discrepancies between physical goods and system records.
- Goods Receipt & Issuance: Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders, and issue items based on approved requisitions.
- Staff Supervision: Train, schedule, and evaluate store personnel to maintain efficient day-to-day operations.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, procurement teams, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of stock.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the storage area complies with safety regulations, is kept clean and hazard-free, and expired or damaged items are disposed of properly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years in retail management, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems, solid leadership, and excellent organizational capabilities.
