Role Overview

As a STEM Rater (Maths / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Coding / Finance), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the "brain" of our AI learning platform. Working under the guidance of the STEM Lead and alongside a team of talented peers, your main responsibility will be to create, review, and refine high-quality academic data that powers next-generation learning tools.

You will evaluate AI-generated answers for accuracy, clarity, and teaching effectiveness—helping ensure that millions of learners across the world receive explanations that are both correct and easy to understand. This role offers a unique prospect to apply your IIT-level subject expertise to real-world AI education technology.

We’re seeking current IIT students (undergraduate or postgraduate) who demonstrate exceptional academic ability, deep conceptual understanding, and a passion for education and technology.

Core Responsibilities

1. High-Quality Content Creation

- Create and refine detailed solutions, step-by-step derivations, and clear explanations for STEM questions of varying difficulty.

- Maintain rigorous accuracy, clarity, and adherence to academic and pedagogical standards.

- Anticipate common student misconceptions and craft explanations that address them effectively.

2. AI Response Evaluation

- Review and assess AI-generated answers for correctness, coherence, and educational value.

- Provide structured,



actionable feedback to improve the AI’s reasoning and teaching capability.

- Contribute to building “ground truth” datasets for benchmarking AI model performance.

3. Application of Subject Expertise

- Apply strong conceptual and problem-solving skills in your chosen subject area.

- Verify, analyze, and improve solutions for a wide range of problems—especially those aligned with JEE, NEET, or undergraduate-level coursework.

- Stay updated with the latest curriculum standards and exam patterns.

4. Collaboration & Workflow

- Work closely with the STEM Lead and other raters to ensure consistency in content and evaluation.

- Meet project deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.

- Communicate effectively and proactively resolve challenges in data creation or review.

Qualifications

Essential

- Education: Current student (B.Tech / Dual Degree / M.Sc. / M.Tech) enrolled at an IIT.

- Subject Expertise: Strong command of core concepts in your subject area, with demonstrated ability to solve advanced problems (e.g., JEE Advanced, NEET, or GATE level).

- Communication Skills: Excellent written communication with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely.

- Attention to Detail:



A meticulous approach to accuracy, structure, and logical flow.

Preferred

- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, content creation, or problem-setting (for coaching institutes, clubs, or personal projects).

- Experience writing or solving Olympiad-level / JEE Advanced / NEET / GATE problems.

- Familiarity with providing structured feedback, particularly in tech or AI-assisted environments.
