Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer for designing, developing, and optimizing

enterprise-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will lead our data engineering

strategy, architect cloud-based data platforms, and mentor engineering teams to

deliver scalable and reliable data systems that power business intelligence, AI, and

analytics.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design and implement Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and User-Defined

Table Types.

Develop database solutions to process REST API responses and transform JSON

data into relational tables.

Build and maintain ETL processes for loading transactional and master data.

Perform data validation, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation during

data ingestion.

Design database schemas, indexes, constraints, and relationships following best

practices.

Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues.

Implement logging, exception handling, and batch processing mechanisms in

database procedures.

Collaborate with application developers,



integration teams, and business

analysts to understand data requirements.

Support deployment, testing, and production issue resolution.

Prepare technical documentation for database objects and ETL processes.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best

practices.

Must Have

Robust SQL and Azure SQL Database knowledge.

Experience Writing Complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views,

and triggers.

Experience designing database objects (tables, indexes, constraints, table

types).

Understanding of ETL processes and data ingestion pipelines.

Experience with JSON parsing in SQL.

Data modelling and database design.

Experience with master/reference data management.

Knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning.

Experience with Git/Azure DevOps for source control.

Positive to Have

Azure Data Factory (ADF).

Knowledge of batch processing and audit logging.

Familiarity with refinery, manufacturing, or industrial data domains.
