Role & Responsibilities
Design and implement inquiry-driven, transdisciplinary units aligned with the IB PYP framework for Grades 1–5.
Facilitate student-led learning through structured provocations, reflection, and team-oriented projects across all subject areas.
Assess student progress using formative and summative strategies, documenting learning journeys and sharing insights with parents and colleagues.
Integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) and Approaches to Learning (ATL) into daily instruction to foster resilience, collaboration, and self-management.
Collaborate with PYP coordinators and grade-level teams to ensure consistent program delivery, curriculum mapping, and continuous improvement.
Engage in professional learning communities (PLCs), contribute to school-wide initiatives, and stay current with IB updates and pedagogical best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
IB PYP certification or current enrollment in IB PYP training
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Experience teaching Grades 1–5 in an IB or international curriculum context
Proficiency in using digital tools for planning, assessment, and classroom management
Knowledge of inquiry-based pedagogy and transdisciplinary learning
Ability to design and deliver concept-driven, student-centered lessons
Preferred
Experience with the IB PYP Learning Continuum or eAssessment
Familiarity with digital portfolios or platforms like Seesaw or ManageBac
Background in multicultural or multilingual classroom settings
