Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons for classes VI‑X in line with the school’s curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
Foster a love for literature, reading, and writing through interactive activities, debates, dramatics, and project‑based learning.
Assess student performance regularly using formative and summative evaluations; maintain accurate records of grades and progress.
Provide individualized support and remedial instruction to students who require additional assistance.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, department heads, and senior leadership to integrate cross‑disciplinary initiatives.
Participate actively in co‑curricular and extracurricular programs such as literary clubs, debates, dramatics, and inter‑school competitions.
Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and safe classroom workplace that encourages critical thinking and respectful dialogue.
Contribute to school development programmes, parent‑teacher meetings, and continuous professional development workshops.

Essential Qualifications




Graduate degree (B.A.) in English or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Teacher Training Certificate (B.Ed. or D.El.Ed.) recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Qualified teaching license (if applicable) as per State Education Department norms.
Robust command over English language—both written and spoken.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Desired Experience
Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in CBSE schools.
Demonstrated ability to incorporate innovative pedagogical methods, digital tools, and experiential learning.
Experience in organizing and judging literary, debate, or dramatics events is a plus.
Track record of improving student academic performance and fostering a love for literature.
