Engineer in Coal Mining Operations and Maintenance (O&M;) is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment within a coal mine. This role involves a range of activities, including electrical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance:
Planning and executing preventative maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment in the mine, including motors, pumps, transformers, and other power distribution systems.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:
Identifying and resolving electrical faults or malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and protected operation.
- Safety Compliance:
Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards for electrical equipment in a mine environment.
- Equipment Monitoring:
Monitoring the performance of electrical equipment,
identifying potential problems, and recommending necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Performance Reporting:
Preparing and maintaining reports on the performance of electrical equipment, identifying areas for improvement, and tracking maintenance activities.
- Coordination:

- Contract Management:
