We are seeking a seasoned Integration &
- API Management Specialist with strong hands-on experience inWSO2 API Manager, Azure API Management (APIM), and Solace PubSub+ to support and operate our enterprise API and integration platforms. This role is critical to ensuring the platform reliability, operational excellence,stability, security, governance, and availability of API platforms while providing technical and operational leadership forbusiness critical, Tier1 integrations ensuring stable operations and continuous modernization. In addition to deep integration and middleware expertise, the role requires strongAI and automation awareness to modernize operations through AIOps, intelligent monitoring, predictive analytics, and automation driven remediation.
Key Responsibilities API Platform Operations &
- Support Own 24X7 end-to-end operations and support of WSO2 API Manager (v3.2+), Azure API Management, and Solace PubSub+ platforms across environments.
Ensure high availability, performance, resilience, and security of enterprise integration platforms supporting Tier‑1 workloads.
Monitor API traffic, message flows, latency, throughput, and error rates to ensurehigh availability and SLA compliance.
Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and problem management for production issues related to API gateways, integrations, and messaging platforms.
Coordinate with application teams, vendors, and infrastructure teams during major incidents and planned maintenance windows.
Drive proactive monitoring and observability using SAP monitoring tools, Splunk, ElasticSearch, and cloud‑native platforms.
Proactively identify operational risks, capacity constraints, and performance bottlenecks.Platform Administration &
- Governance Administer API platforms including tenant configuration, access control, certificates, policies, throttling, and routing.
Enforce API governance standards, lifecycle controls, versioning policies, and security guardrails.
Support API onboarding, decommissioning, and lifecycle transitions in alignment with enterprise standards.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SSL/TLS, and token management.
Govern capacity planning, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Establish and maintain runbooks, SOPs, operational playbooks, and escalation models.
Partner with architecture and delivery teams to ensure operational readiness, resiliency,
and supportability before go‑live. AI‑Enabled Operations &
- Automation Drive adoption of AI‑assisted operations (AIOps) for anomaly detection, alert correlation, predictive capacity planning, and incident reduction.
Promote intelligent automation across monitoring, remediation, deployment validation, and operational reporting.
Leverage AI tools for log analysis, performance insights, trend detection, and forecasting.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed AI‑driven observability and self‑healing capabilities into platforms. People &
- Delivery Leadership Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to integration operations engineers.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Drive skill development across API Management and integration platforms, cloud, DevOps, and AI.
Support on‑call rotations, workload prioritization, and operational capacity planning. CI/CD, Release &
- Change Enablement Support and operate CI/CD pipelines for API deployments and configuration changes (without owning API code development).
Validate deployments, configuration changes, and releases across lower and production environments.
Partner with DevOps teams to improve automation, rollback mechanisms, and deployment reliability.
Participate in change management, release readiness reviews, and post deployment validation. Observability &
- Operational Excellence Configure and support monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
Define operational dashboards and alerts for proactive detection of platform and integration issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform resilience, stability, and operational maturity.
Maintain and improve runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
Stakeholder
Collaboration &
- Enablement Act as a key liaison between architecture, security, application teams, and vendors for API platform operations.
Deliver clear,
executive level communication on platform health, risks, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Guide application teams on API onboarding, best practices, and operational readiness.
Influence enterprise adoption of best practices, standards, and reusable integration services.
Required Skills &
Qualifications 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 7+ years in integration and middleware platforms operations.
Robust operational experience with
WSO2 API Manager (v3.2+) Azure API Management Solace PubSub+(Event Driven Architecture) Proven expertise in API platform operations, support, administration, and governance.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, API lifecycle management, and versioning (from an operational perspective).
Experience supporting cloud and hybrid deployments, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
Working knowledge of containerized platforms, Kubernetes, and microservices runtime environments.
Hands-on experience with WSO2 Identity Server / IAM integrations for authentication and authorization.
AI-augmented Operations experience Strong experience with log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting using Splunk, ELK, or similar tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation for API platforms.
Strong understanding of API security practices and OWASP Top 10 risks.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, high pressure, and ambiguous environments.
Strong decision making, accountability, and problem solving mindset.
Exposure to DevOps and SRE practices, including reliability engineering concepts.
Experience supporting event-driven architectures and enterprise messaging platforms.
Exposure to DevOps and SRE practices, including reliability engineering concepts.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management.
Familiarity with Agile delivery models and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Experience operating other API platforms such as Apigee, MuleSoft, or IBM API Connect is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Certifications in WSO2, Solace PubSub+, Azure, or related integration technologies.
