We are seeking a highly motivated Senior R&D; Chemist to lead and strengthen our in-house R&D; function. The ideal candidate will possess strong fundamentals in organic chemistry, proven hands-on experience in process development, and the ability to drive innovation, quality improvement, and recent product development within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead R&D; activities for dyes, dye intermediates, Pigments and speciality chemicals.
- Develop, optimise, and scale organic synthesis routes for new products.
- Conduct literature surveys, design experiments, interpret analytical data, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with Production, QC, and Management to support plant trials and technology transfer.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of proprietary chemistry, processes,
and formulations.
- Maintain proper records and summaries for each project and provide timely updates to management.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Organic Chemistry (preferred), or M.Sc. with exceptional hands-on expertise.
- 2–3 years of experience in R&D; or process development.
- Experience in pharmaceutical R&D; or intermediates is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and analytical interpretation.
- Good knowledge of lab-scale to pilot-scale process development.
- Basic knowledge of analytical testing and equipment.
