Salesforce Engineer

About the Role:

As a Salesforce Engineer on a Commercial Operations Integration Program,

you will play a critical role in integrating and optimizing Salesforce (SFDC)

capabilities to support the commercial transformation of a new business into the Reuters ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Business

Operations, Finance, Sales, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless CRM and sales tooling integration, with the opportunity to leverage Eloqua for marketing migration of Lead content.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate on the migration of customer, order, and prospect data ninto Salesforce from legacy systems and spreadsheets.

- Align Salesforce metadata and contract setup to support new commercial models and pricing strategies.

- Participate in KTLO (Keep the lights on) activities to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of existing systems and applications.

- Support the integration of Eloqua for email marketing workflows, including template migration and automation setup.

- Collaborate with Zuora Engineers to ensure billing and revenue stream mapping aligns with Salesforce data structures.

- Contribute to the phased transition of sales processes, ensuring Salesforce supports workflows.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and configuration experience.

- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, workflows, and integration patterns.

- Experience with Eloqua or similar marketing automation platforms is a robust plus.

- Familiarity with Zuora, QuickBooks, and data migration best practicesAbility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Service Cloud





- Experience working directly with sales leadership to solve complex technical challenges and drive improvements in sales process

Salesforce Certifications:

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II(Preferred)

- Experience working with large amounts of structured and unstructured data

- Familiarity with programming languages (SOQL, SQL, Python)

- Familiarity with Data Warehousing solutions and processes

- Preferred knowledge of sales and marketing processes and best practices

- Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organisation

- Configure Salesforce platform features, including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and approval processes, to optimize business processes and user experience.

- Develop custom applications, user interfaces, and integrations using Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Work with Salesforce APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between Salesforce and other platforms.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions.

- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to junior developers and other team members.

- Work to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual efforts and data entry of the sales team to drive efficiency (including lead routing, notifications, tasks, and workflow tools)

Nice to Have

- Experience in media, content licensing, or subscription-based business models.

- Preferred experience with Reporting, Dashboards

- Experience with other CI/CD tools and platforms.

- Knowledge of Salesforce development and customisation.
