- Able to perform train system design reviews (with minimal guidance)
- Technically competent to review the Design of most major mechanical systems such as carbody & bogie design, vehicle dynamics, pneumatics & brake system, air-conditioning, door system, coupler etc.
- Capable of engaging effectively with Contractor and Client during design workshops
- Able to verify the Contractor’s design calculations and test reports
- Demonstrable ability to identify, understand and apply relevant Engineering Standards
- Knowledge of statutory approval process for Indian Metros including RDSO trials
- Can objectively assess and report on the Contractor’s planning and execution of manufacturing, factory tests, trials & systems integration matters
- Able to work under own initiative to produce high quality reports and presentations
