We are seeking a skilled Quality Automation Engineer with strong experience in automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD processes. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with IBM, requiring hands-on expertise in Playwright, Java, CI/CD (GitLab), and REST API testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and Java.
- Design and execute comprehensive test cases based on BDD frameworks.
- Perform REST API testing using Rest Assured.
- Integrate automation test cases into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure high product quality.
- Troubleshoot,
analyze and resolve issues in automated test scripts.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and provide updates on test progress.
Mandatory Skills:
- Java: Robust proficiency in core Java for developing automation scripts.
- Playwright: Hands-on experience with Playwright for browser-based testing.
- CI/CD: Deep understanding and practical knowledge of CI/CD practices, preferably using GitLab.
- REST API Testing: Proficient in testing APIs and automation using Rest Assured.
- BDD Frameworks: Experience in writing and maintaining test cases using Behavior Driven Development approach.
Preferred Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
