About Interloop
Interloop is a People, Process, and Technology consulting firm with offices in India and the UAE. For seven consecutive years, we've grown profitably while helping startups, SMBs, and mid-market enterprises align how they hire, sell, and scale. We're a leading Zoho Partner — and now evolving from a services firm into a product-led organisation building proprietary solutions that scale.
About the role
We're looking for a curious, empathetic, and motivated Psychology student or recent graduate to join our People & Process Consulting team for a focused, two-month internship.
You'll spend these two months working on something most psychology students only read about — building real psychological inventories from the ground up. You'll be involved in designing assessment items, validating them, refining the structure, and seeing how these tools get used in actual organisational settings.
This isn't a shadow-the-team internship. The work is real, mentored, and goes on to shape decisions about real people.
What you'll work on
- Designing psychological inventories — from blueprint to item-bank
- Researching frameworks across personality, behaviour, and competency assessment
- Pilot-testing items, gathering data, and analysing what works
- Refining tools based on validation findings
- Documenting methodology, scoring rubrics,
and interpretation guides
- Collaborating with our consulting team on how these tools land in client settings
Who should apply
You're pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Psychology, Counselling, Organisational Behaviour, or a related field, with a genuine interest in psychometrics, assessments, or applied research.
You'll thrive here if:
- You take theory seriously, but you're equally interested in how it shows up in real life.
- You enjoy the rigour of test design — items, scales, validation.
- You like working in a small team where what you do gets used.
- You'd rather contribute to a real tool than write another paper that sits in a drawer.
Skills that help
- Comfort with research methodology and basic statistics
- Familiarity with assessment frameworks (Big Five, MBTI, DISC, competency models)
- Clear written English
- Ability to read academic papers and translate them into plain language
- Excel or Google Sheets for organising data
What you'll get
- Hands-on experience in psychological tool development
- Mentorship from senior practitioners working in industry
- Completion certificate and a robust referral upon successful completion
- A portfolio piece you can talk about in any future interview
