Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication to join our team.

The Production

Engineer will be responsible for optimizing production processes, enhancing productivity, improving quality, and ensuring timely project delivery. This role requires proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation, computer skills, and leadership in managing a team of 20-35 personnel.

Responsibilities:

- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production setup and part verification.

- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for process optimization, tooling design, and production planning.

- Lead a team of 20-35 production personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance management.

- Drive key result areas (KRAs) focused on productivity enhancement, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) improvement, cost savings initiatives, and quality production.

- Implement Kaizen methodologies to foster continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.

- Monitor and optimize production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of projects and goods.

- Conduct time studies to analyze workflow efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

- Focus on maintaining high standards of quality and adherence to customer specifications.

- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Head of Department (HOD) on production metrics, worker efficiency, and management information systems (MIS).

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

- Proven experience of 2-5 years in sheet metal fabrication,



with a deep understanding of production processes and equipment.

- Strong proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and technical specifications.

- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems for production planning.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of production personnel, driving performance and fostering teamwork.

- Experience in conducting time studies, implementing productivity improvement projects, and achieving cost savings targets.

- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving on-time delivery and quality production.

- Excellent multitasking abilities and solid analytical skills.

- Effective communication skills with the ability to report and present data to senior management.

Our client is a Metal products manufacturing company with In-house Design, Sampling and Production set up. They have the capabilities of manufacturing small components to large-scale Metal Products. Having 20 yrs of a successful track record of manufacturing and marketing products in India and overseas.

As part of their growth and diversification plans, they recently commissioned a World Class, state-of- the- art fully automatic PSBB Production Line from Italy. The material flow of Punching, Shearing, Buffering, and Bending system PSBB can be automated with different modules to manufacture Sheet Metal Components and sheet metal equipment to be supplied to small, medium, large scale, and Multinational Consumer and Industrial Equipment manufacturers across India. Sprawling over 1.5 Lac sqft of area, the two factories have a workforce of more than 400 people in different departments.
