Department: R&D; / Product Development

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and innovative Power Electronics Engineer to join our engineering team focused on the design, development, and optimization of EV charging systems, including AC chargers, DC fast chargers, and on-board chargers. You will play a key role in developing high-efficiency, cost-effective, and robust power conversion solutions for the next generation of EV charging infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems for AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC converters.

Work on the development of DC fast chargers (CCS, CHAdeMO) and AC Level 1/Level 2 chargers.

Simulate and model power stages using MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, PSpice, or equivalent tools.

Select suitable components (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN devices, transformers, etc.) for high-frequency and high-power applications.

Design and optimize PCB layouts for thermal and EMI/EMC performance in high-power environments.

Collaborate with firmware engineers to implement and optimize digital control algorithms (e.g., PFC, current/voltage control loops).

Ensure products comply with industry standards such as IEC 61851, ISO 15118, and UL certifications.

Conduct performance testing, validation,

and troubleshooting of prototypes in the lab environment.

Interface with mechanical, thermal, and embedded software teams to ensure seamless integration of charger subsystems.

Document technical designs, test results, and product specifications.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.

3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in power electronics design, preferably in the EV or renewable energy sector.

Strong understanding of topologies like interleaved boost converters, full/half-bridge converters, resonant converters, and LLC/ZVS/ZCS techniques.

Experience with EV charger protocols and grid compliance standards.

Proficiency with design and simulation tools: Altium, OrCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS.

Knowledge of thermal and EMI/EMC design considerations.

Strong debugging and analytical skills with lab tools (oscilloscopes, current probes, electronic loads, etc.).

Familiarity with CAN, Modbus, or OCPP communication protocols.

Understanding of battery charging algorithms and battery management systems (BMS).

Knowledge of grid-tied power electronics and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) technology.

Certification in relevant automotive or power electronics courses is a plus.
