Responsibilities

- Perform and assist in orthopaedic surgical procedures including total joint arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgeries, and trauma-related interventions.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of imaging studies (X-rays, MRI, CT scans).
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with joint degeneration, sports injuries, fractures, and post-traumatic conditions.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency trauma response as required.
- Stay current with advancements in orthopaedic techniques, technologies, and evidence-based practices through continuous professional development.




- Support teaching and training activities for medical students and residents under supervision.

Requirements

- MBBS degree with a specialization in Orthopaedic Surgery (MS Orthopaedics or equivalent).
- Completion of a structured residency or internship program with documented experience in orthopaedic surgery.
- Proficiency in arthroplasty (hip and knee replacements), arthroscopy (knee and shoulder), trauma management (Truma), and knee surgery.
- Solid understanding of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments with attention to detail and precision.
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts and on-call schedules as per departmental requirements.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent) and necessary state medical licenses.
