### Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of ocular conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and refractive errors.
- Conduct all outpatient department (OPD) consultations, including patient history taking, clinical assessment, and treatment planning.
- Perform cataract surgeries using advanced phacoemulsification (phaco) techniques with high precision and safety standards.
- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for accurate assessment and monitoring of eye health, including OCT, biometry, and tonometry.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, including managing complications and ensuring optimal recovery.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including optometrists, nurses, and other specialists, to deliver integrated patient care.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, surgical advancements, and clinical guidelines in ophthalmology.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education programs.

### Requirements
- MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MD/MS in Ophthalmology) from a recognized medical institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate clinical experience in ophthalmology, with documented proficiency in phacoemulsification (phaco) cataract surgery.
- Proven expertise in clinical and diagnostic methodologies specific to ophthalmic care, including advanced imaging and refractive assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to perform all OPD and clinical procedures in ophthalmology with a strong focus on patient safety and surgical precision.
- Strong understanding of contemporary surgical techniques, intraocular lens (IOL) selection, and postoperative management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical documentation software.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Council (NMC) and relevant state medical councils.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
