:

A Milling Machine Operator sets up, adjusts, and operates manual or CNC milling machines to shape raw materials into precision parts. They read blueprints, calibrate tools, and inspect finished products to meet exact specifications. The role requires mechanical aptitude, strict adherence to safety standards, and routine equipment maintenance. Key Responsibilities

- Machine Setup: Study blueprints, technical drawings, or CAD designs to determine the machining operations needed, and set up the machine with appropriate cutting tools and parameters.

- Operation & Monitoring: Load raw materials, secure workpieces, and regulate machining controls like feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cuts.

- Quality Control: Continuously monitor the cutting process and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to ensure zero defects.

- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating the machine, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to prevent downtime.





- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all industrial safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational training, ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification, or a Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering is highly preferred.

- Experience: Typically 1 to 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

- Technical Skills: Robust understanding of shop math, metallurgy, and blueprint reading. For CNC positions, basic programming skills may be required.

- Physical Demands: Physical stamina to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive motions, and regularly lift and move heavy workpieces (up to 50 lbs.).
