Key Responsibilities

- Production & Operations: Supervise day-to-day operations of the DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) kilns, coolers, and the Raw Material Handling System (RMHS) to meet daily production targets. [1, 2]

- Process Optimization: Analyze process parameters (temperatures, pressures), control the charge mix, and optimize raw material usage (iron ore, coal) to maximize product quality and reduce specific coal consumption. [1]

- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to plan routine maintenance, execute shutdown schedules, and analyze equipment breakdowns. [1, 2]

- Safety & Compliance: Enforce stringent health,



safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring dust suppression and pollution control norms are continuously met. [1, 2, 3]

- Team & Data Management: Lead shift operators, engineers, and technical staff; monitor plant performance metrics; and prepare production MIS reports. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.

- Experience: Typically 10 to 15 years in a sponge iron plant, with extensive hands-on experience in rotary kiln operations.
