ROLE OVERVIEW
The Logistics & Shipping Coordinator manages the shipping side of our orders remotely.
They source shipping rates from vendors, prepare the necessary shipping documentation,
and follow shipments closely from dispatch to delivery. A clear understanding of UAE shipping requirements is important, and the role calls for someone genuinely attentive who stays on top of every shipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vendor quotes — contact shipping vendors and freight forwarders to obtain and compare shipping prices.
- Shipment follow-up — track and follow up on shipments from collection through to delivery, flagging any issues early.
- Documentation — prepare shipping documents, including commercial invoices and packing lists.
- UAE requirements — apply knowledge of UAE shipping,
customs and documentation requirements to keep shipments moving smoothly.
- Coordination — keep the sales coordinators and customers informed on shipment status.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in logistics, shipping or freight forwarding.
- Familiarity with UAE shipping and customs requirements.
- Experience preparing commercial invoices, packing lists and related shipping documents.
- Positive written and spoken English for dealing with vendors and customers.
