Job Summary - EZ Logistics is seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Manager who works in dual role as development manager & Operational Manager you will work as responsible for Development, Managing and Coordinating Logistics Operations within a specific region.

Operations Manager The Operations Manager for logistics operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the dispatches and acknowledgement-receiving processes of a company. As an individual player, the Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective logistics operations. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, managing transportation activities, and maintaining robust connections within the transportation industry.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the logistics team and other departments to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods or services.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations while booking vehicles and fostering strong relationships on behalf of EZ Logistics with local transport partners.

Design and implement solutions that address the distribution and warehousing needs of our customers

Requirements

The Operations Manager has the end-to-end responsibility for First & Mid Mile deliveries on all these aspects as per the internal norms of the company

1. Dispatch Management: Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services and execute dispatch schedules to ensure timely delivery of products or services. Monitor the movement of goods, track shipments, consider factors such as vehicle capacity, delivery routes, and timeliness and address any delays or issues. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and transporters to optimize logistics operations.

2.Acknowledgement Receiving: Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency, Oversee the acknowledgement receiving process to confirm successful delivery and receipt of goods or services. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to delivery acknowledgements.

3. Local Transport Network: Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments, utilize your existing connections and experience in the logistics space to establish and maintain relationships with local transport partners, including carriers, warehouse and logistics service providers Leverage these connections to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation services.

4. Communication and Negotiation:



Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with transport partners, vendors, Warehouse owners’ suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, consumers and internal stakeholders. Collaborate closely with all teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of goods.

5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics operations. Monitor and analyze logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate regular reports and provide insights to management on logistics performance.

6. Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Sales and Marketing team, warehouse, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of logistics activities. Provide guidance and support to the logistics team, including training, performance evaluation, and coaching.

7: Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements: Ensure compliance in hub operations and logistics in all areas, execute plans for ensuring the availability of adequate fleet and/or building the fleet and infrastructure to meet the supply-demand.

8: Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff: Manage the onboarding and training activities for supervisors and Delivery Executives and ensure that they follow the required guidelines while performing different tasks.

9: Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects Ensure prompt responses to queries /concerns raised by the Delivery Executives thereby clearing doubts/ apprehensions if any.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's day-to-day operations, including logistics, supply chain, and fulfillment center.

You will also be responsible for managing the company's Last Mile Operations, which includes the final delivery of goods to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Ensure 100% on-time vehicle placement for the First mile, Mid Mile & last mile logistics with track day-to-day operation.

Ø Collaborating with dispatchers and route planners to ensure that delivery routes are optimized for efficiency.

Ø​ Managing delivery personnel, including drivers and loaders, to ensure that they are meeting delivery timelines and customer service expectations.

Ø​Overseeing the maintenance and repair of delivery vehicles and ensuring that they are compliant with safety regulations.





Ø Developing and implementing strategies for reducing delivery times and improving customer satisfaction.

Ø Monitoring delivery performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.

Ø Analyzing delivery data to identify trends and patterns and developing strategies to address any issues.

Ø Managing relationships with third-party delivery providers, such as Transporter/vendor and warehousing companies.

Ø Ability to negotiate the cost from the vendor/transporter.

Ø Onboard a large vendor base, who can provide Ad-hoc as well Fix vehicles.

Ø The person should be responsible for daily MIS reports.

What you will do everyday:

· On-board Trucks ranging from 0.5 ton to 40 Ton Trucks and shared warehouse space from 500-10000 sq. feet and company warehouse space from 10000-200000 sq. feet

·On Board delivery partners for last mile service from 2 -3-wheeler, EV trucks. Ensure that they are well-trained, process-driven and customer-centric

On-Boarding new customers for FTL, LTL Business for the company through approaching new clients.

· Ensure delivery of SLAs promised to the customer

· Restore operations to normalcy when things break

· Hire, coach and mentor a team of Supervisors

Local Travel: The position is based at Home Location and requires you to be on the field for 26 days in a month Be willing to travel locally up to 250 km from your home location as required to oversee transportation operations and build relationships with transport, warehouse partners and vendors.

Language skills - Two or more languages -Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi will be preferred and fluency in the local language, with proficiency in English & Hindi as a Mandatory.

Qualifications and Skills

1) Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, B2B, and D2C industry, with a focus on transportation and supply chain management.

2) Familiarity with the local logistics landscape, including knowledge of key transport partners and their capabilities.

3) Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word for data management,

analysis and reporting.

4) Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

5) High level of ownership & commitment to maintaining data confidentiality, Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

6) Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and operational requirements.

7) Should be well versed with the demographics of the region & Willingness to travel between different cities.

Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs. 27,000 /- per Month + travelling allowance of Rs. 3,000/- per month. For the first six months

Based on the performance salary will be 35000 +

Incentives every quarter: Rs 10,000-50,000 based on the target achievement.
