What should you bring along

Experience in virtual vehicle development and understanding of mechanical relationships of different Interior parts.

Communication between CoC Squeak and rattle and KOSTA Engineer on a needed basis directly for Questions and discussion of topics.

Virtual Team meetings on a needed basis and I-Team Squeak and rattle if necessary, PRISMA and CATIA access to be clarified, “True” and “False” CAD Model for developing AI based clash analysis will be provided from the CoC Squeak and rattle

- Knowledge of common manufacturing methods for Interior Parts (Door Trim, Pillar Trims, Carpet, Headliner, other soft trim parts).
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate independently with interface partners
- Ability to manage and maintain data and documentation in accordance with BMW standards

Must have technical skills.

- Very good skills in CATIA V5, especially in Generative Shape Design, Part Design, Drafting, and Digital Mockup
- Good knowledge of the PRISMA database for publication and data management
- Experience with collision checks and integration of special characteristics, tolerances, and component identification in drawings.

Good Technical skills

- Familiarity with different manufacturing technologies for plastic components
- Understanding of fixation parts and assembly processes.

Must have technical skill

- Continuous Clash analysis / AI Tool (QMINVT) on complete vehicle CAD models for all BMW Group Projects to split into needed fixation points like doors and bonnets,



collisions between parts and subassemblies like airduct to BIW structure and contacts which may cause creaking noises like leather seats to plastic interior parts … etc.
- Dividing into needed contacts, collisions, contacts who might creak and small distances between parts who might rattles.
- Weighting of the topics regarding its fixation: screwed, welded, riveted, clipped, in contact through pretension and loose.
- Preparing one pager for each topic and create recommendations to avoid annoying noises.
- Presentation of all or delta S&R; topics and alignment with the responsible S&R; functional developers and the S&R; Integration module leaders

- Very good skills in CATIA V5, especially in Generative Shape Design, Part Design, Drafting, and Digital Mockup
- Creation of sections and doing quality checks against the ideal design conditions.
- Creation of technical docs showing the quality issues in Design

Good to have Technical skills

- CA Skills for checking CAD models, like creating cross sections, clash analysis, measurements between parts, surface behaviour regarding squeaking. Valuable feeling for three-dimensional relationships in Soft- and Hardware. Skills in virtual vehicle development and in mechanical relationships (real Hardware/Car). Very good communication skills for coordination with the CoC Squeak and rattle like active asking for material pair behaviour, scope of equipment vehicles, PRISMA topics, surface legend and so on.
- Using and further development of an AI based clash Analysis Tool (further faster KOSTA Steps daily/weekly/monthly with automatic check for changes during the virtual development built phases). Designing of failures with CATIA, based on knowledge of the CoC S&R; and calculating with the new AI tool.
