Role Description The Data Scientist Intern role at CODEHOOD is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting data-driven initiatives across the platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets, performing exploratory data analysis, and assisting in building basic predictive or analytical models.



The intern will create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights, help evaluate learner performance and program effectiveness, and support the improvement of learning experiences using data. Collaboration with mentors and internal teams to document findings, present results, and iterate on analytical approaches is an important part of the role.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge in Data Science and Data Analytics, with the ability to apply core concepts to real-world problems.
Strong skills in Statistics and Data Analysis to interpret data, test hypotheses, and derive actionable insights.
Experience or coursework in Data Visualization, including the use of basic visualization tools or libraries.
Familiarity with at least one programming language commonly used in data work (e.g., Python or R) and basic knowledge of SQL.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly
