Job Description – Head – Air Freight Operations

Department: Air Freight Operations

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Air Import & Export Operations.
Ensure timely shipment movement and adherence to customer SLAs.
Coordinate with airlines, GSSA, agents, customs brokers, transporters, and overseas offices.
Handle operational escalations and resolve customer issues promptly.
Lead, train, and monitor the Air Freight Operations team.
Monitor operational KPIs, shipment status, productivity, and service quality.
Implement SOPs and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with customs, aviation, security, and DG requirements.
Prepare operational MIS and report performance to senior management.

Candidate Profile
12–15+ years of experience in Air Freight Operations.
Strong hands-on experience in Air Import & Export.
Excellent knowledge of airline coordination, customs, documentation, and freight forwarding processes.
Proven team leadership and problem-solving skills.
Robust customer handling and operational escalation-management capabilities.
