Role Description The Shift Engineer VMC/HMC role is a full-time, in office position based in Nagpur Rural. The individual in this role will oversee the operation of Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC), including setup, monitoring, and adjustment of machines to meet production targets and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with production teams, troubleshooting mechanical and process issues,



and ensuring adherence to safety and maintenance procedures. The Shift Engineer will maintain production logs, support preventive maintenance activities, and collaborate with supervisors to optimize machining processes and reduce downtime.
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of VMC/HMC operations, CNC programming basics, and machine setup for precision machining.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical documentation for machining workflows.
Experience with quality checks, use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and adherence to tolerances.
Familiarity with production planning, shift-wise reporting, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Understanding of industrial safety practices, machine maintenance routines, and root-cause analysis for equipment issues.
