About the Role
We are looking for a Founding Data & Platform Engineer to build the data and technology foundation that powers Sidnl.ai. You will own the systems that acquire marketplace data, resolve products and entities across multiple sources, build reliable data models and APIs, and ensure our data is accurate, fresh and scalable.
This is a hands-on founding role for someone who enjoys building from the ground up and taking ownership of production systems.
What You Will Work On
• Build reliable data ingestion pipelines for marketplace and commerce data
• Design source adapters, retries, scheduling and data-quality monitoring
• Build product, SKU, brand, seller, location and platform entity resolution
• Design and maintain our core warehouse/lakehouse and canonical data model
• Build semantic metrics for pricing, availability, visibility, advertising, assortment and inventory
• Develop internal APIs and data services for our product and AI systems
• Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, security and backups
• Build systems that are reliable,



scalable and cost-efficient
• Work closely with the founding team, product and AI engineers to turn business problems into production systems.
What We're Looking For
• Strong production experience in data engineering
• Excellent SQL and data modelling skills
• Experience building ingestion pipelines and data platforms
• Experience with entity resolution, data quality and schema evolution
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and observability
• Ability to design APIs and data contracts
• Strong ownership mindset and comfort working in an early-stage startup.
Valuable to Have
Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, FMCG, D2C or pricing intelligence, along with tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Kafka, Spark, Flink, dbt, ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake or Databricks. Experience with entity-resolution systems, semantic metrics layers, security/privacy and disaster recovery is also valuable.
