Competency Requirements

Technical/Function
- Component development of Driver Information Systems / Instrument clusters, Telematics unit (mechanical and electronic/digital – LCD/TFT/ Stepper).




- Knowledge of complete life cycle of development of Instrument clusters and Fuel level sensors used in 2Wh and automotive domain and its interface with engine/vehicle components like vehicle sensors, switches, ignition and regulation systems.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI impacts on components / system.
- Understanding of CAN standards.
- Electronic component sourcing and pricing.
- Knowledge of domestic / global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan
- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.
- Knowledge and practice of DFMEA, PFMEA.
- Cost estimation and negotiation, settlement for part and tooling / fixture cost and supply chain management, PPAP, Supplier Audits, production ramp up.
- Knowledge of electronic components and its pricing
- Knowledge of quality systems, project management for component development, PPAP.
- Knowledge of testing of components, Homologation- AIS- ECE testing, RF certifications.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth connectivity, wifi, eth
