Job Purpose:
Solves complex geotechnical engineering challenges for clients where precedents may be lacking by performing complex/advanced geotechnical engineering work encompassing data acquisition, collation, processing, interpretation and reporting in highly complex, impactful projects. Provides geotechnical engineering advice across a broad range of specialized technical disciplines,
crafting innovative data-driven solutions for complex clients by reviewing and improving the integration of geotechnical data into practical applications, proposing improvements to research methods and quality systems. Supports the establishment and compilation of regional and global procedures, recommending follow-up investigations and refinements to customized services. Recognizes and acts on variation order opportunities. Provides and reviews technical input to commercial tenders. Conducts (overall) review of technical correctness and consistency of service product. Receives minimal guidance. Acts as escalation point for project team members. Often supervises project team, managing tasks and distributing responsibilities for success in project execution, though direct people management is not a focus.
