Role Summary
The DevOps
Engineer will support day-to-day production operations and provide DevOps

steady-state production support (deployments, monitoring, incident response)
with project-based work (setting up new environments, pipelines, and
infrastructure for new initiatives).
Key Responsibilities
• Provide production deployment
support — plan, schedule, execute, and validate releases with minimal downtime.
• Support new project onboarding
by setting up GCP environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure from
scratch.
• Build, maintain, and optimize
CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) for build, test,
and deployment automation.
• Manage GCP infrastructure
components: GKE (Kubernetes), Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC
networking, and IAM.
• Write and maintain
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Deployment Manager) for repeatable,
version-controlled environment provisioning.
• Monitor production systems
using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging,
Prometheus/Grafana; configure alerts and
dashboards.
• Participate in incident
response and troubleshooting — root cause analysis, hotfix deployment, and
post-incident documentation.
• Manage containerization and
orchestration (Docker, GKE) including scaling, upgrades, and configuration
management.
• Implement and enforce security
best practices: IAM policies, secrets management, network security, and
compliance guardrails.
• Collaborate with development,
QA, and product teams to align release schedules and workplace needs.
• Maintain runbooks, deployment
guides, and architecture/process documentation.
• Support on-call rotation for
production issues as needed.
