Role Overview The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the school. This role is key to supporting a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with educational and labour regulations, and aligning HR strategies with the institution’s academic vision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching and non-teaching staff
- Coordinate with academic heads for staffing requirements
- Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee onboarding, confirmation, and exit formalities
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Implement induction programs for new hires
3. Performance Management
- Design and manage appraisal systems for faculty and staff
- Support performance reviews and professional development plans
- Work with leadership to identify training needs
4. Employee Relations
- Act as a bridge between management and staff
- Address grievances and resolve workplace conflicts
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture
5. Compliance & Policies
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and school regulations
- Develop, update,
and implement HR policies
- Maintain statutory records and handle audits
6. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Coordinate payroll processing and attendance management
- Administer employee benefits and leave management systems
7. Training & Development
- Organize training sessions, workshops, and staff development programs
- Facilitate continuous learning aligned with CBSE or other board requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in an educational institution
- Robust knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
- Experience in school HR systems is an advantage
