Testing Validation of Lithium-Ion Battery Packs

Energy Storage for Electric Vehicles and Renewable energy.

- Preparation detail test plan for cells and battery packs.

- Life cycle test (Capacity test), Temperature mapping, penetration test, short circuit test, HRD test, breakdown test, cell balancing, BMS parameter verification, self-discharge test, data sheet verification.

- Analysis of above mentioned tests.

- Preparation of samples for third party test certification (AIS 48 / 156 ARAI, UL, BIS).

- Test and validate cells.

- Coordinate with different type of cells supplier

- Knowledge of national and international standard applicable for cells and battery pack (IEC 62133, IS 16046, UL1642, AIS048, AIS135).

- Coordinate with a third party test lab for testing and know the procedure of BIS certification.

- Knowhow of Call and battery test equipments and suppliers.

- Test laboratory Set up for testing of cells , battery module and battery pack.

- Test equipment - Cell formation unit, Automatic battery pack tester, Resistance bank, power supply, CAN- data logger, Impedance tester, Chargers, Thermal Imager, High pot tester, Environmental test chamber.

- In-house test set up for abuse testing of cells (Penetration and short circuit test), connector life cycle test.

- Lithium ion chemistry and performance analysis

- Construction of cells and material use for making cells.





- Analysis of cells thermal characteristics and degradation of cells.

- Selection of cells and cells chemistry as per application.

- Cylindrical, prismatic and pouch cells.

- Endurance testing of ev li-ions batteries, ev components and conventional components (starter motors, fuel pump, starter relays, radiator fans, fuel level sensor etc.)

- Capacity measurement and validation through tester, load bank and dyno.

- Battery state of health (soh) graph analysis and preparation.

- Automation and setup preparation for various tests.

- Batteries test data logging and analysis on bus master data system.

- Test standard, test reports, standard operating procedure development and issue documentation process.

- Component level benchmarking and data generation.

- Operating voltage window, Voltage cut off at cell level, passive balancing technology, SOC determination algorithm, charging profile CC-CV.

- Knowhow battery pack architecture and internal components, Cooling technologies.
