Our client is seeking a seasoned Head of Accounts and Finance, with a robust background in managing the accounting & finance functions in the context of international trade, export/import business operations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), with a preference for those also certified as a Company Secretary (CS). This role is pivotal for the company's financial strategy, managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and overseeing tax obligations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in steering the company towards financial health, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Strategy and Oversight: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals, overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

- - Accounting Leadership: Manage all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, ledger management, and cash flow monitoring.

- - Compliance and International Trade: Ensure compliance with FEMA for foreign exchange transactions and manage all aspects of import/export compliance. Oversee taxation issues related to international trade, ensuring adherence to both domestic and international tax laws.

- - Tax Management: Develop tax strategies and manage tax compliance, filings, and reporting. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, and stay updated on tax law changes.

- - Audit and Risk Management: Lead internal and external audits,



ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate financial risks related to international trade and taxation.

- - Team Leadership and Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

- Qualification: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA). Additional qualification as a Company Secretary (CS) is highly preferred.

- - Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting, with substantial experience in international trade, export/import operations, and taxation.

- - International Trade Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the financial complexities of international trade, including compliance with FEMA, and expertise in handling export/import financial transactions.

- - Tax Expertise: Extensive knowledge of taxation, especially related to international trade.

Experience with managing tax strategies, compliance, and reporting for a business engaged in international markets.

- - Audit and Compliance Skills: Proven ability in leading audits and ensuring financial and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with risk management practices related to international finance and trade.

- - Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of contributing to the company's financial strategy and growth.

- - Leadership Abilities: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
