About Winvesta
Winvesta is an AI-native fintech on a mission to make cross-border payments and international investing seamless and affordable for Indians.
We build two live products: a Global Currency Account for Indian exporters receiving payments from foreign clients, and an international investing platform for Indian retail investors. Founded by Swastik Nigam (IIM-A, ex-Deutsche Bank London), Winvesta has been recognised as Fintech Product of the Year 2024, Best Payment Solution 2023, Best Emerging Fintech 2023, and FinTech Company of the Year 2020 for Asia Pacific.
The Reality of the Market
Go-to-market is one of the most misunderstood functions in early-stage companies. It gets described as outreach, research, partnerships, positioning — all of which are true, none of which captures the actual skill. The actual skill is structural thinking about distribution: understanding who needs a product, where they are, what will actually reach them, and how to test that thinking quickly and cheaply.
Most people entering this space learn to do the activities without developing the thinking underneath. They learn to send outreach without learning what makes outreach earn a response. They learn to produce research decks without learning what makes research change a decision. The result is a lot of effort that does not compound.
The people who figure out the structural thinking early — and who use AI to do the research layer faster so they can spend more time on the judgment layer — will build a genuinely rare skill set. That is what this role is designed to develop.
What Winvesta Offers
Our Global Currency Account solves a specific, meaningful problem for Indian service exporters — software firms, agencies, consultancies, freelancers — who are currently losing money and time to an inefficient cross-border payment system. Our international investing platform serves Indian retail investors who have historically had poor access to global markets. Both products have real distribution challenges and real market opportunities.
You will work on live GTM problems for real products — not hypothetical markets, not internal presentations that nobody acts on.
You will use Claude as a daily work partner — for prospect research, market analysis, partner identification, memo drafting. You will produce real work products that real people read and act on.
You will work directly with the founding team and understand how distribution decisions get made at a fast-moving fintech.
The last month of your internship is an explicit adjudication period for a full time offer. Both sides know this from Day 1.
What You Get
- Competitive stipend, disclosed at offer stage
- Direct daily access to the founding team — not a manager two levels removed
- Real GTM work on live products from week one, not hypothetical exercises
- Structured Claude onboarding in your first week, with AI-native skill development throughout
- Formal full-time assessment in the final month,
with a clear and honest outcome either way
The Attitude We Need
We look for academic strength first — ideally 90% or above in both 10th and 12th. Good go-to-market thinking is applied logic: given what we know about this market, what follows? Given this channel's economics, does the unit math work? Given this partner's incentives, will they actually move? The people who are naturally good at GTM tend to be people who are naturally good at reasoning through systems — and strong academic performance is one of the earliest signals of that.
We also look for quantitative comfort. GTM is not a numbers-heavy function, but it requires someone who can read a market sizing model and know whether the assumptions hold, who can look at outreach data and reason about what is actually driving conversion, who can build a simple business case for a partner relationship without needing someone else to check the arithmetic.
What we do not specify is a degree stream. Someone from any background can be exceptional at GTM. What is not negotiable is a genuine affinity for technology and an AI-native way of working. You use tools to do things faster and better. You have been using Claude as part of how you actually work — producing research, drafting documents, stress-testing ideas — not as something you have experimented with occasionally.
Beyond that, we need someone who thinks before they act and communicates with precision. A memo with a point. Outreach with a reason. Research that changes a decision.
If you are the right person for this role, the bar we have described will feel like a reasonable expectation, not an obstacle.
The Role
Go-to-market at Winvesta covers three things that most companies split across multiple people. You will own all three.
Finding new client segments — identifying who else needs what Winvesta builds, where they are, and what it would take to reach them. This means looking beyond the obvious and asking which industries, geographies, or buyer types are underserved by the current system and reachable by us. Not a brainstorm — a structured, researched answer with a commercial logic behind it.
Figuring out the marketing — once a segment is identified, working out how to reach it. What message lands, what channel makes sense, what content builds the right kind of trust. You will produce the briefs, the campaigns, and the positioning — and you will track whether they worked.
Doing the first sales — when a new segment or channel looks promising, you are the one who goes and tests it. That means writing the outreach, having the first conversations, handling the early objections,
and reporting back on what you found. The GTM intern at Winvesta is not handing warm leads to someone else. They are generating them, qualifying them, and closing the first ones themselves.
Beyond these three pillars
- Build partner and channel research — a structured picture of who Winvesta should be working with, why they would want to, and what the commercial logic looks like on both sides
- Produce market and competitive analyses that inform real decisions — not a slide deck filed in a folder, but a memo that changes how the team thinks about a segment or a channel
- Use Claude to accelerate the research layer — and apply your own structural thinking to decide what the output means
The work will evolve continuously. The requirement for clear thinking will not.
Proof of Work
We are not looking for a polished CV. We are looking for evidence of things you have actually produced and acted on.
If you have written a market memo, a partner brief, or a research output that someone else used to make a decision — share it or describe it specifically. If you have used Claude to produce GTM work, show us what you built and tell us what changed because of it. If you have identified a market opportunity, mapped a distribution channel, or put together a partner case — tell us the story of what happened after.
Proof of work does not have to be from a formal role. It has to be real, and you have to be able to tell us what you did with it.
Qualifications
What we require

- Active Claude user — must have used it to produce real work outputs before applying, not just tried it
- Able to write clearly and reason structurally about commercial problems
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from any degree programme
What we prefer:
- 90% or above in both 10th and 12th
- A specific example of research or analysis that informed a real decision
- Prior exposure to sales, business development, strategy, or product work
- Familiarity with how Indian exporters or fintech markets operate
