Job Summary
The Geotechnical Engineer role requires a strong foundation in geotechnical principles. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting problem statements, overseeing complex geotechnical designs, performing necessary analyses, ensuring quality standards are met, and preparing detailed technical reports.
Key Responsibilities
Review client technical documentation, specifications, and geotechnical requirements to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Review geotechnical and geophysical data and develop soil design parameters.
Conduct geotechnical analyses for various offshore structures.
Perform numerical modeling and simulations using industry-standard software.
Prepare transparent and detailed technical reports and deliverables, including design basis documents, analysis results, and engineering recommendations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain alignment and consistency across all technical deliverables.
Support offshore geotechnical investigations and interpretation of in-situ and laboratory test data where required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background:
Bachelor’s/ preferred Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience
- Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, foundation design, and ground improvement methods.
Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools.
- Skills:
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
