Responsibilities:

- Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Polypectomy, Variceal Band Ligation, PEG Tube placement, Liver Biopsy, and Capsule Endoscopy.

- Evaluate and manage patients with complex GI conditions such as GI bleeding, IBD (Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis), Hepatitis (viral and non-viral), Cirrhosis, Fatty Liver Disease, Pancreatitis, and Gallbladder Disorders.

- Conduct and oversee GI cancer screening programs, including colorectal cancer prevention and early detection initiatives.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and nutritionists to develop individualized patient care plans.

- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.

- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-based research projects related to gastroenterology.

- Provide timely consultations and follow-up care, ensuring continuity and patient satisfaction.

- Stay current with evolving clinical guidelines, emerging technologies,



and best practices in gastroenterology through continuous professional development.

Requirements:

- MBBS degree with MD/DM in Gastroenterology or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and State Medical Council.

- Proven hands-on experience in performing and managing a wide range of endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, Polypectomy, and Variceal Band Ligation.

- Demonstrated competence in diagnosing and managing common and complex GI conditions such as IBD, Hepatitis, Cirrhosis, Fatty Liver, Pancreatitis, and Gallbladder Disorders.

- Experience in GI Bleeding management, including endoscopic hemostasis and risk stratification.

- Familiarity with GI cancer screening protocols and guidelines (e.g., colorectal cancer screening).

- Robust analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment with minimal supervision.

- Proficiency in medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR), and digital imaging systems.

- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and emergency endoscopy as required.
