Department overview:

The Legal team is an integral part of the Legal, Compliance, and Controls ("LCC") function, which comprises dedicated professionals in law, compliance, and governance. This team provides essential support and services across Nomura's diverse business divisions, including Investment Banking, Global Markets, Corporate,



and International Wealth Management. The LCC function is pivotal in safeguarding Nomura's interests and ensuring adherence to applicable legal and regulatory standards.

Role description:

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Legal team in India, delivering strategic legal support and guidance to Nomura's operations in the Asia ex-Japan (AEJ) region. This position requires a seasoned legal expert who can effectively oversee legal services, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks associated with complex business transactions.
