Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and control daily foundry operations for steel casting and mould production
- Manage melting processes (Induction Furnace/Arc Furnace) and ensure proper metal chemistry
- Supervise mould making, core making, pouring, fettling, and finishing processes
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, drawings, and customer specifications
- Monitor rejection rates and implement corrective & preventive actions
- Coordinate with QA/QC, maintenance, stores, and planning teams
- Ensure preventive maintenance of furnaces, moulding machines, and allied equipment
- Control production cost, yield improvement, and raw material consumption
- Ensure compliance with ISO / QMS / safety / statutory norms
- Lead, train, and motivate production and supervisory staff
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and MIS reports
- Support recent product development and process improvements

Education:

B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering

Experience:

- 8–15 years of experience in a steel foundry
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong exposure to steel casting, moulds, melting, and quality control
