The Financial Operations Analyst reports to and works closely with the Service Line s Regional and National Financial Operations Leaders, as well as within the firm s other core Finance functions (Centralized Billing, Planning & Investment, Enterprise Reporting & Analytics) to provide consistent and collaborative support and analysis. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to support multiple leaders simultaneously.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support client-facing professionals to optimize engagement efficiency and profitability through active project management
- Handle recurring and ad hoc requests around project management, ETCs, client invoicing, A/R & WIP, billings/collections/reserves, expense management, subcontractors, WIP/budget-to-actuals, and A/P management
- Monitor Opportunity Pipeline (CRM), work closely with sales and ECS teams to track demand, update opportunities, and ensure pipeline data integrity
- Help integrate pipeline data into firm-wide reporting
- Assist Audit Financial Operations Leaders with ad hoc reporting and insights, providing intelligence on projections, trends, risks, and courses of action
- Collaborate with colleagues across finance functions (FinOps, Reporting & Analytics, Planning & Investments) in day-to-day financial management
- Assist with month-end/quarter-end/year-end closings
- Drive consistency and collaboration in financial and operational best practices across Regions and Solutions
- Share knowledge and standardize processes across Service Lines
- Work with ICS functional groups (CR&M;, P&C;, M&S;, Recruiting) to ensure consistent and accurate flow of information on KPIs, employee metrics, and engagement profitability and risk tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 0 to 1 years of relevant experience
- Experience in skilled services industry preferred
- Strong understanding of business operations and alignment with business goals
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate well with all levels of professional teams
- Anticipate obstacles, take proactive steps to avoid them, and complete projects accurately and timely
- Provide high-quality work with a detail-oriented focus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel occasionally
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI), SharePoint skills a plus
- Must have a client service mindset and understand business from both a practitioner and business operator perspective
