Job Summary: The DBA will lead the overhaul of the existing SQL Server database to a modern, scalable SQL, PostgreSQL or other scalable backend on AWS. This role involves designing and implementing the new database architecture, ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and supporting the development team in translating old business logic to the new platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of the new database architecture on AWS.
- Migrate data from SQL Server to SQL or PostgreSQL.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.




- Collaborate with the Architect and development teams to translate old business logic into the new platform.
- Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Support data ingestion components and ensure efficient data processing.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior DBAs and developers.

Core Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on database design, migration, and optimization.
- Expertise in SQL Server, SQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS database services.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience with Entity Framework and T-SQL.
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.
