The Finance Manager will own the day-to-day finance and accounting function at Ayati Devices. This is a hands-on role suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a startup environment, can manage multiple compliance and reporting responsibilities independently, and can build robust finance processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Closure
- Review and close accounting data every month with accuracy and within defined timelines
- Maintain the general ledger, ensure correct classification of transactions, and reconcile all key accounts
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
Statutory Compliance
• Handle end-to-end GST compliance — monthly/quarterly filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return) and timely payments
- Manage TDS deductions, payments and quarterly returns
• Ensure timely payment and filing for Skilled Tax (PT) and PF/ESI contributions
MIS & Reporting
• Prepare monthly MIS reports covering P&L;, balance sheet highlights, cash flow, and key financial metrics
• Track budget vs. actuals and provide variance commentary to leadership for informed decision-making
• Prepare financial data packs to support investor updates and board reporting
• Maintain dashboards and schedules for key financial indicators relevant to the business
Payables, Reimbursements & Vendor Management
• Review and process employee reimbursement claims in line with company policy, flagging exceptions
• Verify vendor invoices for accuracy, GST compliance, and contractual alignment before payment approval
• Manage the vendor payment calendar; ensure timely disbursements and maintain healthy supplier relationships
• Maintain proper documentation and approval trails for all payment transactions
Cash Flow & Banking
• Monitor daily cash positions and prepare short-term cash flow forecasts to flag liquidity gaps early
• Manage banking operations including fund transfers, bank reconciliations, and liaison with banking partners
• Coordinate with the leadership on deployment of funds in line with the approved financial plan
Audit & Internal Controls
• Lead statutory audit preparation — prepare audit schedules, coordinate with auditors, and ensure timely closure
• Support internal audits and implement recommendations to strengthen financial controls
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core finance processes and ensure adherence
• Identify and escalate any control gaps, policy violations, or financial irregularities
Qualifications & Experience
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter qualified
• Minimum 2 years of post-articleship experience in a finance/accounts role
• Prior experience in a startup, manufacturing, or MedTech company is an advantage
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, PT, PF, and other statutory compliances
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent) and MS Excel
• Hands-on experience preparing MIS and financial reports for leadership review
